April New Moon Ritual & Self Care: Manifesting with the Moon

Posted on April 20 2020

Hello beautifuls!  The New Moon in Taurus is on April 22.

For this New Moon ritual in this series, I thought it would be good to share a ritual that also involves self care.

With all of the fear and uncertainty being created around the pandemic, self care and staying grounded is more important than ever.

Required for this ritual:

🌑Sage or palo santo or Florida Water
🌑Pen and paper
🌑Sea salt or epsom salt
🌑Incense or candles (optional)
🌑Lavender essential oils

1. Cleanse your ritual space

It is always a good idea before and after you start a ritual to cleanse your ritual space.  Cleansing can be done with white sage sticks or palo santo.

Florida water is also something that can be used to cleanse ritual spaces.  Florida water is a staple in many African spiritual traditions used in African traditions for purifications and ritual offerings.

2. Take a cleansing bath

Fill up your tub with warm water, and add a handful or two of the epsom salt.  Add a few drops of the lavender essential oil. Lavender essence is great to help promote restfulness and relaxation.

If you have candles and incense, you can light them.

You can play some soothing music if you like or just remain silent and focus on what you want to call into your life.

Taking a cleansing bath about an hour before you do your ritual...it helps you to relax and clear your mind of any low vibrational beliefs, and puts you in a good position to start your ritual.

Also, a salt bath is a great way to de-stress, detoxify and detach from the fear matrix in our society right now.

If you don't have a tub, you can try a foot soak instead.

3.  Write down your intentions

After the bath, think about what you want to manifest and write it down.  You can choose to work on more than one thing or you can limit it to one area that you can’t to work on.  For example, if you want to work on love and romance, your New Moon Intentions might look something like the following:

  • I am ready to meet my divine counterpart
  • I am ready for change
  • I welcome divine love into my life
  • I am worthy of love
  • I am Love

It’s not a bad idea to record your intentions in a journal that is dedicated to your New Moon intentions.  You can look back and see which ones have manifested and which have yet to come into fruition.  Also, a manifestation anchor such as a crescent moon inspired necklace can help supercharge your intentions.

4.  Perform the ritual

Light your candle and incense, and read your intentions out loud.

You can quietly recite your prayer or chant after reciting your rituals.  As always, offer thanks and gratitude to the universe.

After reciting your intentions and prayer, sit quietly and visualize the New Moon energy working for you.  Visualize the energy of the new moon energizing your intentions as your intentions are sent up to the new moon.  When you are finished, blow out the incense and candle to complete your ritual.

You can also supercharge the manifesting power of this ritual by wearing moon inspired jewelry as a manifestation anchor.

Of course, it is important to take inspired action to manifest your intentions as well as every intention requires action.  Even the best New Moon rituals don’t mean anything without taking inspired action.
